Every Christmas I read 1 book and watch 1 movie - I read Pride and Prejudice and I watch Bridget Jones Diary.

Both ironically have a similar story of girl meets boy, girl likes boy but neither can overcome their pride nor their prejudice to see each others position in society and ultimately - to ‘hook up’.

I find the opening scenes of the movie depict snow, christmas cheer and embarrassing family get togethers - all traditional parts of Christmas.

I think we can all relate to Bridget Jones as we often feel we just bumble along , getting it all wrong, not seeing what is right in front of us.

Besides who wouldn’t want to feel that they have their Mr Darcy?

Perhaps our businesses are full of : Push/pull relationships, verbally incontinent employees or customers.

At Christmas I feel that ridiculous buzz in the air - the manic present buying and last minute adrenaline rush at the supermarket to ensure we have ‘everything’. We shop like the shops are never going to re open !

So it’s ironic at Christmas in business that we feel incredible pride in our business and what we have achieved for the year.

Yesterday I locked the door to the office and headed off with the team for a well earned Christmas lunch and a few drinks - we reflected on what we have achieved for the year - commiserating the down times and laughing (way too much laughter!) about the funny stories.

Invariably this involved you ! We marvelled at what some clients have been able to achieve in the space of 1 short year and how far you have come.

We put aside our Pride and try and contain any Prejudice to think about how we can help you succeed in business. Just like Elizabeth Bennet in the book and Bridget Jones in the movie - we don’t always get it right, but we would like to think you know that our hearts are in the right place.

So enjoy a wonderful christmas 2016 with your love ones and we look forward to doing beautiful business with you in 2017
