Keep the change
2017 - the power of change
Someone recently said “Keep the change”.
It was $3.50 - I remember it vividly because it bounced around in my back pocket all night.
When I pulled it out later – I jingled these 3 coins in my hand and thought about these 3 simple words
“Keep the change”
Now I know that he was talking about the $3.50 but as usual I was thinking deeper than that. my thoughts turned from the physical 'change' in my pocket - to the change in my life. The english language is funny like that - two words in different contexts with completely different meaning.
So I started to think about the change I couldn't feel in my back pocket.
I have seen enormous change in my life and work in 2016 – so how will I “Keep the change: in my world in 2017?
1. I am going to commit to what I started in 2016
2. I’m going to learn a new skill
3. I’m going to finish something that will change my business
4. I’m going to find a new toy.
5. I’m going to celebrate the change I see
So 2017 will be a big year.
I’ll be finishing a new qualification, learning to ride a bike (with gears), furthering the new business relationships I have made, I’ll be walking from Aireys Inlet to Torquay for charity and after all that I will celebrate with you and your achievements.
So it’s 2017 and the time of year we make resolutions to ourselves - what does your 2017 look like?
